Vellum
Client statements that read like a story rather than a spreadsheet, built from the data and ready the morning the quarter closes.

The problem
Quarterly client reports were assembled by hand from several systems. Pulling performance, allocation, and activity, then formatting it into something a client would actually read, took days and looked different every time.
Because it was manual, the report was usually late and the advisor spent the time rekeying numbers instead of preparing for the conversation.
What we built
Vellum pulls from the portfolio and custodian data, builds the performance, allocation, and attribution, and renders a clean, branded statement. The advisor opens a finished draft and adds the part only they can write.
- •A portfolio statement with performance against benchmark and allocation as held
- •Performance by period and the contribution behind the return, in plain language
- •Allocation by sleeve and geography, with drift against policy noted
- •A consistent, branded layout the client recognizes every quarter
- •An advisor note on every report, written before anything is sent
A closer look

How it works
The system reads the account data, builds the performance and attribution, and renders the statement in a consistent format the moment the period closes.
AI assembles the report. The advisor reviews it, adds context for the client, and approves. Nothing reaches a client without that review.
The outcome
Statements are ready the morning the quarter closes instead of days later.
Every report looks consistent, so the client sees the same clear story each time.
Advisors spend their time on the conversation, not on rekeying and reformatting.
